Wood fired Work

Wood fired pottery is exactly what it sounds like. Pottery fired with wood. Chords and chords of firewood are used to slowly build up a thick layer of ash (wood ash) along the surface of pieces inside the kiln, and then as the temperature in the kiln rises that ash melts, bonding with the glaze and clay creating unmistakable surfaces and textures.
